Additive Manufacturing (3D Printed Parts)

We Can Create 3D Printed Parts for You

All we need from you is a 2D sketch of your part, from which we will use SolidWorks to create a 3D CAD model. This CAD model can be sent directly to you in 3D printer format (model_name.stl), or to a company that specializes in 3D Printing. This company can then send the finished parts directly to you.

Typical Parts That Can Be 3D Printed

Click on the 3D Printing image on the right side of this page to see typical examples of parts that can be 3D printed. You will also see a table that gives the Typical Mechanical Properties of 3D Printing Materials.

3D Print Compared to 3D SolidWorks Model

The images above show an actual 3D printed part compared to the 3D CAD model used to create this part. The 3D model is made from ASA T16 Blue. SolidWorks was used to create the 3D CAD model.

How 3D Printing Works

Every 3D printer builds parts based on the same principle: a digital CAD model is turned into a physical 3-dimensional object by adding material one layer at a time. This is where the term Additive Manufacturing comes from. Click the 3D Printing image below to see some examples of parts that can be 3D Printed.

Benefits of 3D Printing

LOW-COST PROTOTYPING AND QUICK TURNAROUNDS. This can be done at a fraction of the cost of other manufacturing processes and the prototypes are usually ready overnight.
